Mrs. Lynne Shelton
Hi! I'm excited you are visiting my page! My name is Lynne Shelton, and I am an instructor for the HHS Medical Academy. This is my 19th year teaching Health Science and my 14th year at HHS. I currently teach the Medical Internship and Pharmacy Technician courses as well as Foundations of Medicine. Helping students discover their passion for healthcare is something I truly enjoy. I graduated from the University of Alabama at Huntsville with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Master of Science Degree in Healthcare Simulation. My nursing background is in Neonatal Intensive Care and Pediatrics. In July 2021, I became a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator. I currently serve on the state board of directors for Alabama Health Science and HOSA. We have lots of exciting things happening at the Medical Academy! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me.
My husband, Scott and I live in Hartselle. We have two children, both Hartselle graduates. Katherine ('10) is currently a trauma/acute care surgical fellow at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA and Connor ('14) is an advanced general dentistry resident at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA. When I have time, I enjoy reading and traveling. I am looking forward to a fantastic school year!
