I graduated from Hazel Green High School in 1996. I played softball and basketball at my high school.  I received a softball scholarship from The University of Alabama in Huntsville.  I played for 4 years and coached for 1 year.  In June of 2002, I married Hartselle Graduate (1995), Steve Haynes.  My husband and I live on a farm in Hartselle with our beautiful sons, Jake, was born in April of 2006, and Ethan was born in April of 2008.  We have 2 labs, Sadie, and Shelby.  We row crop farm (soybeans, wheat, and corn).  We enjoy spending time together by kayaking, fishing, hunting, farming, and doing anything we can on our farm.  We also enjoy Alabama football and baseball.  We try to go to Tuscaloosa as often as we can to catch a game. We attend Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

This is my 19th year of teaching.  I taught Third Grade in Madison County at Lynn Fanning Elementary from 2002-2006.  In 2006, I started teaching in Hartselle City Schools at Crestline Elementary.  I was at Crestline for 11 1/2 years until the counseling position came open at Barkley Bridge Elementary.  I was able to work at BBE for 3 1/2 years until I transferred to the High School.  I am honored to be the counselor at Hartselle High School.   I really enjoy being in Hartselle City.
