I am currently a School Resource Officer for the Hartselle City School system.  My primary assignment is the Hartselle High School campus.  I have been employed with the Hartselle Police Department since 2003.  I attended the APOST Police Academy at Jacksonville State University. I also completed my B.S. in Criminal Justice and Emergency Management at Jacksonville State University.  After fourteen years of working with the patrol division, I accepted a school resource officer position. I have completed the NASRO Basic SRO certification course (2018), the NASRO Advanced SRO course (2019) and the NASRO Supervision/Management (2020).  The completion of additional training allowed me to obtain a practitioner status by NASRO.  Currently, I serve as the Region 1 LEO board member for TAASRO.  I also currently hold several use of force instructor certifications, and I am a certified traffic homicide investigator.

My wife Megan (Emerson) and I married in 2013.  We have two amazing daughters named Emory Ryan and Ellington Rose.  We also have a goldendoodle named Ryder. 

I am also a former graduate of Hartselle High School (Class of 2000).
