• Mission Statement

The Future Belongs To The Educated

Because of this, we at Hartselle High School seek to prepare our students for their futures through a rigorous and challenging curriculum  that encourages both their intellectual and their social growth.  Our partnership with parents and the Hartselle community empowers and prepares Hartselle High School students for a successful and productive future as members of our global community.

  • Welcome to Hartselle High

Hartselle High School is a fully accredited 9th through 12th grade facility located in the heart of the Tennessee Valley in Morgan County. Hartselle High School was previously known as Morgan County High School.

Hartselle High offers a full range of opportunities academically, athletically, and socially.  We have extensive advanced placement courses giving students the opportunity to do college-level work and earn college credit hours while still in high school.  The school also provides an exceptional performing arts department allowing students to participate in voice, musical instruments, visual arts, and drama. We also have  career academy clusters that are fully business and industry certified and prepares students for college programs and careers.  The strongest testimony to the success of our students lies in the fact that the vast majority pursue a post-secondary education. Our graduates are well prepared to succeed in college and future careers.  In 2014, Hatselle was named a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.

Secondary only to our strong academic curriculum are the opportunities afforded our students athletically. Hartselle High has a long tradition of excellence on the playing field -- winning numerous state championships in our thirty six years including recent championships in men's golf 2015, softball 2014 and 2018, baseball 2009 and 2013, volleyball 2012, women's golf in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 and football in 2011-12.  Most importantly, our students are taught to win or lose with dignity and pride in themselves and their school.

The opportunities provided for our students to grow socially come from a wide array of activities and clubs which are available to all who wish to participate. Service and social clubs actively promote community involvement and volunteerism in our students.  Events such as homecoming, the junior-senior prom, and many others allow our faculty and students to work together outside of the classroom.  Needless to say, many of the best and most memorable lessons in life come from these social interactions.

If you have already chosen to locate in our community, we welcome you and look forward to our work together.  If you are visiting our area, on behalf of the students, faculty, and staff of the Hartselle High School family, we would like to extend to you an open invitation to visit our campus at any time.  Should you be moving to our area with teenage children, you will find in Hartselle High School an atmosphere open and receptive to new students with great pride in our school and its students.  We look forward to having you in the Hartselle family.
