Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Beth Stough
My name is Beth Stough and I am proud to serve as the School Counselor at Hartselle Intermediate School. I graduated from Austin High School in 2001 and went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Music Education from Auburn University. After teaching several years I decided to go back to school and earn a Master's degree in School Counseling. I started my career in the fall of 2006 and served for 14 in Decatur City Schools before coming to Hartselle.
I am married to my husband, Rhett Stough and we have two beautiful daughters, Maddie and Hannah. We also have a dog named Ellie Mae that we rescued. I enjoy singing, cooking, camping, swimming and just about anything I can to make memories with my family.
It is my goal as a school counselor to use my years of experience and my compassion and enthusiasm for children to make a positive impact on the students of Hartselle Intermediate and the Hartselle community. I have no greater joy than giving a child the opportunity to feel heard and understood. I believe that every child can find success when they feel socially and emotionally supported.
