Beginning at the novice level and continuing through the upper levels, Spanish is taught via vocabulary, culture and technology. Students are introduced to topics such as alphabet, greetings, basic conversations, weather, family, school, and other related verbs while in Spanish 1. Spanish 2 students expand on these subjects and also learn more advanced grammatical structures such as the preterite, imperfect and present progessive verb tenses. Students in advanced courses, Spanish 3 and 4, have the opportunity to use their Spanish while assisting our English Language Learners at F. E. Burleson Elementary School. Culture is taught throughout each Spanish level.
