I am proud to say that I am a product of Hartselle City Schools! After graduating from HHS in 1983, I headed off to Auburn University where I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Science Education. I taught for a year in Vestavia Hills, then moved all the way across the country to teach 7th and 8th grade science in Burbank, California. After 25 years in California, I returned to Hartselle with my husband, Scott, and daughter, Molly. 

When I'm not at school you'll find me hanging out at a coffee shop or on the sofa watching Masterpiece Mysteries or British detective shows. I also enjoy hiking on shady trails, driving on country roads and stopping along the way to take pictures of trees, clouds, cows, horses, chickens and the occasional cotton field. 

My goal in 7th grade life science is to help your child master the Alabama Course of Study for Life Science and in doing so, encourage a love of learning and an appreciation for the world we live in. In order to monitor your child's progress in my class, I would recommend checking my daily lesson plan posted on Google Classroom and checking their grades on Powerschool.
