My name is Jessica Barnes.  I grew up in Hartselle and graduated from Hartselle High School.  I attended Auburn University and got a degree in Elementary Education.  I taught kindergarten for 4 years in Decatur before my oldest was born.  I have 3 children in Hartselle city schools: Elijah, Jeremiah, and Hannah.  I started teaching at Barkley Bridge in 2020.  My husband, Justin, and I stay busy with all our children's activities, but in my spare time I love being at home with my family and reading a good book.

My goal has always been for my students to love coming to school and develop a love for learning.
