I grew up in a little town in Upstate New York and graduated in 2004. I went to college at Alfred University in Alfred, NY. I majored in Sociology and had a vision of working in social work. However, when I moved to Dallas, TX right after college, I started working at a daycare and found that teaching was my passion. I went back to school and received my Masters in Education from Western Governors University. This will be my 9th year teaching (I have previously taught 3rd, 4th, 5th, and Pre-K). This is my sixth year at Barkley Bridge, and I am very excited to be a part of this wonderful school! There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child’s reaction when they achieve their goal and how proud they are of themselves. I enjoy being someone that works alongside them and provides the love and support needed along the way.
