Mrs. Stacie Martin
Hi! My name is Stacie Martin. I am originally from Fort Oglethorpe, GA. As a teenager we moved to Signal Mtn., TN. I attended my first two years of college at Faulkner University in Montgomery, AL. This is where I met my husband, Jimmy Martin, whom I have been married to for 27 years this October. I graduated from Athens State University in 1997 with a double major in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. From 1998 to 1999 I taught 1st grade at East Limestone High School which was a K-12 school. I received my Master's Degree of Education in Library Media in 2011 from the University of West AL. We have 3 children. I took almost 18 years off to do the most important job of my life, to raise my children! My son Caleb is almost 23, my daughter Jillian is almost 21 and my youngest daughter Clara is 17. While my children grew older, I taught several "Maternity Leaves" for other teachers. Those leaves included the Library, a Talented and Gifted class, an 8th grade Technology class/ facilitator for an online Spanish class, and 2 different kindergarten classes. 2017-2018 I taught 3rd grade at Somerville Road Elementary in Decatur, AL. 2019 -2020, I taught kindergarten at FE Burleson. 2020-21 I taught 2nd grade for my 4th year of teaching. My 5th year of teaching, I moved into Pre-K. I am starting my 8th year of teaching, and I am so excited to be at Crestline!
