Lauren Brock joined the Pre-K Team as a Lead Teacher in 2021, after serving 7 years as a Kindergarten teacher at F.E. Burleson.
Lauren obtained degrees in both Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and with University Honors in Interdisciplinary Studies.
Her love for learning and her desire to inspire a love for learning in others began at an early age, and continued throughout her college years as she served as a UAB Orientation Leader and campus tour guide. The same passion for learning remains in her classroom today. Teaching in an Alabama First Class Pre-K classroom has been especially rewarding, as she is a firm believer that play-based, student-led learning is the best approach towards building strong foundations in both academic and social skills.
Mrs. Brock and her husband Seth have a daughter (Julianna), a son (Ellis), and a Belgian Malinois named Trapp. When she's not teaching, she enjoys traveling, painting, listening to audiobooks, spending time with her family, training Trapp, and organizing things.
