Mrs. Ashley Benham
I was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. I lived in Memphis until 2008 when my husband and I decided to move to Oxford, Mississippi to be closer to family. In the summer of 2012, my husband's company transferred us to Alabama. We decided on Hartselle, and we couldn't be happier. I have one child named Will who is a senior at Hartselle High School. I have a Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier named Millie. I enjoy reading, going to movies, spending time with family, and watching my son run track. I am a huge football fan! I'm sure you will see my family at many Hartselle Tiger games. I love being a part of the Hartselle family!
I have been teaching for over 22 years. I began my teaching career at Oak Elementary School in Bartlett, Tennessee where I taught 5th grade for 8 1/2 years. I taught 5th grade at Oxford University School, a private school in Oxford, Mississippi, for 1 year. I taught 5th grade for 3 years at Lafayette Upper Elementary School in Oxford, Mississippi. I taught 4th grade for 7 years at Crestline Elementary in Hartselle, Alabama where I was named Crestline’s Teacher of the Year and went on to become Hartselle City Schools’ Elementary Teacher of the Year for the 2015-2016 school year. I taught 5th grade math at Hartselle Intermediate School for the last 3 1/2 years. I am excited to begin my new adventure as the assistant principal of Crestline Elementary School!
