I have lived in Hartselle my entire life! I married my junior high sweetheart, Chris Hines, in 2006. We have a compassionate and spunky daughter named Marlee and the cutest little dog who Marlee named Tiny! I love spending time with my family. I also enjoy traveling, hiking, and exploring our beautiful country. You can see some of my travels in my photos below!
I am a third generation teacher with many family members in the education field. Since I was a little girl, I have never thought of doing anything else other than teach. I graduated from Athens State University in 2006 with my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I received my master's degree in Library Media in 2010 from the University of West Alabama. After teaching several long leaves of absence, I decided to stay home with my daughter while she was young. During that time, I started a preschool / mother's day out program at my church. In 2018, I began teaching second grade at Crestline, the elementary school that I went to many years ago! I transitioned into the role of Crestline's librarian in 2022. I enjoy instilling the love of books into all of our students!
