Mrs. Stephanie Roden
I graduated with a Bachelor's in Language Arts in 2004 from Athens State and a Master's in Library Media from UWA in 2013. After a short time staying home with my children, I began working at Crestline in 2015 as the library media specialist, and I transferred to Burleson in December of 2019. I am National Board Certified in Library Media (2019), and I have an EDS in Teacher Leader from UNA (2021).
I am entering my second year as a gifted specialist at FEB, and I am currently pursuing a Doctor in Education (EdD) in Special Education: Gifted Education at the University of Alabama.
I am married to Rodney and have three children: Ava, a senior at HHS, Asher, a seventh grader at HJHS, and Violet Joy, a fourth grader at FEB. I also have a miniature schnauzer named Minnie and an Aussiedoodle named Daisy. We are members of West Hartselle Baptist Church.
I am an avid reader, coffee drinker, Disney fan (hence the pet names), and can often be seen as the family chauffeur. In the fall, I LOVE full days of football and cheering Alabama, and in the spring, my favorite baseball team is the Braves. Roll Tide, and Chop on!
My hope is that all of my students find their strengths and interests within my class to build a firm foundation for their futures!
