• HCS Registration for Grades 1-12HCS Registration

    Hartselle City Schools is now enrolling new students for the 2025-2026 school year. 

    Registration:

    If your child is attending HCS for the first time, you will enroll at our Central Office, which is located at 305 College Street NE, Hartselle, AL 35640.

    If you are planning on registering your child as an Out of District student with Hartselle City Schools, the open dates for enrollment are as follows and the deadline is firm:

    • May 1, 2025, through July 10, 2025, for the 25-26 school year
    • November 3, 2025, through November 24, 2025, for the 2nd semester

    Please bring the following Required Documentation with you to register:

    • Proof of Residence (must be a current utility bill within 60 days)
    • Official Birth Certificate
    • Original/Valid Alabama Immunization Record
    • Valid Government Issued ID for Parent/Legal Guardian (Driver’s License)
    • (When applicable) from the court, signed by a judge: Final divorce decree/custody documents stating physical custody, DHR order stating physical custody
    • Grades and Attendance Records: (You must have a copy of these when you come in to register - by law your former school can not deny you having a copy.)
      • Grades 1-8: Current Report Card (showing grades & attendance)
      • Grades 9-12: Unofficial Transcript with attendance
    • 504 or IEP (if it applies and your student has one, IT MUST BE FURNISHED AT THE TIME OF ENROLLMENT).

    For all NEW Out of District Registrations:

    Upon approval, you will be charged an additional $25.00 non-refundable registration fee in addition to your Out of District tuition. 

    After approval, you will receive information on how to complete our online student enrollment forms.

    Enrollment is not finalized for your student until these forms are completed and submitted.
