Mrs. Kayla Lawson Tucker

Hello! My name is Kayla Tucker, and I am thrilled to be a Math coach for grades K-5 across the district.

I earned my bachelor's degree from Athens State University, and I continued my education by pursuing a master's degree and an Ed.S in Elementary Education from West Alabama University. Since 2012, I have been actively involved in elementary education. I have had the opportunity to teach grades K-6 and serve as a Learning Interventionist, providing targeted support to students.

I am happily married to Garrett Tucker, and we have three amazing boys named Jack, Beckett, and Gray. Spending quality time with my family is something I truly cherish. I also enjoy reading, going on trips to Target, and indulging in activities that bring me joy.

I am dedicated to supporting teachers and collaborating with colleagues to ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed in math. My goal as a math coach is to empower students and help them develop a strong foundation in mathematics.
