We have just received official word from the Alabama State Department of Education that Nanette Edde, Family and Consumer Science teacher at   Hartselle High School, has had four students to pass the Praxis II. She is the   first high school teacher in the state to have students to pass this test.Edde

The Praxis® tests are used by most state education agencies, including Alabama, to make decisions regarding the licensing of new educators. The Praxis II tests focus on teaching methods and the learning process, as well as professionalism

The specific breakdown is one student passed the Praxis II: Principles of Learning and Teaching: Grades 5-9, and 3 passed the Praxis II: Principles of Learning and Teaching: Grades K-6. The students who passed the tests are MacKenna Kaup, Lori Milligan, Morgan Sharp, and Jake Tiffin.

These four graduated last year, as most are seniors when they take Teaching II and are now studying at the college level.
