Dena Mayfield is the Pre-K Principal for Hartselle City Schools. She believes that early learning, early intervention, and an early start build a strong trajectory for a child's life.  Mrs. Mayfield and the Pre-K team strive every day to affect the lives of Hartselle City School's first families and their children.   

She has served Hartselle students in several roles.  Mrs. Mayfield has been an early and elementary childhood educator, reading specialist, and reading coach.  She also served as the Curriculum and Instruction/Professional Development and Alabama's First Class Pre-K Coordinator.  Her education includes Bachelor of Science degrees in Early and Elementary Education, a Master of Arts in Elementary Education, an Educational Specialist degree, and Instructional Leadership Certification. She is currently working with CLAS in the Pre-K-3 Leadership Academy and plans to complete the two-year program in the Spring of 2023. 

She knows that her "Tiny Tigers" will lead the way to a brighter future!
