Ms. Michaela Leudesdorf

Welcome!

I began teaching in 2019 right here at Hartselle Jr. High. I am a Madison City Schools graduate, specifically James Clemens High School. From there, I attended Auburn for two years as I pursued a degree in Pharmacy. After two years I felt called to teach, so I came back home and finished my studies at Athens State University. I graduated in December 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in English with minors in Secondary Education and Educational Technology. I am beyond excited to be in the classroom and hope that I can instill the same excitement to all of my students.

I love reading and I believe that books can transport us to places we could only imagine. They are a way to experience new cultures, ideas, and ways of life all without leaving our homes. Books hold the key to becoming a well-rounded and successful student in all aspects. Some other things I enjoy are: spending time in my garden, hanging out with my dog, working on my (not so great) drawing skills, and chasing sunsets.

My classroom promotes positivity and tolerance. I am excited to grow in kindness and learn with you all!
