I am a Judson College graduate with a B.A. in Secondary Education Language Arts. After graduation, I taught at Charles Henderson High School in Troy, Alabama and coached their forensics (speech and debate) team. I am married to Joe Cimino, an IT specialist, and we have three sons: Jonathan, Zachary, and Nicolas.
After my children all entered school, I returned to teaching. I spent nine years teaching English (7th, 8th, 10th, 11th, and AP Language) and logic at Decatur Heritage Christian Academy. While there, I also started and coached a speech and debate team.
I completed my Master's degree in Education with an emphasis in Integrated Curriculum and Instruction at Covenant College in 2015.
I started teaching at Hartselle High School in January, 2018. I taught English 11, Pre-AP English 10, and the reading and English portion of the ACT Test Prep class. Teaching at HHS has been such a great experience! In 2020-2021, I will be teaching English 11 and coaching Hartselle's newly-formed speech and debate team.
My hobbies include knitting, playing games on my iPad, and reading books in all genres. My family and I are active members at First Bible Church of Decatur.
