Coach William Booth is a Hartselle native who has been teaching for 50 years and coaching baseball for 28 years.  During his successful career, he has won 8 state championships and 3 state runner-up titles. He and his wife, Peggy, have four children:  Mason Booth, Andy Vest, Bruce Vest, and Lori Vest Cline.  They also have five grandchildren:  Mary Elizabeth Booth, Catherine Cline, Drew Cline, Ella Vest and Will Booth.

Coach Booth was a math classroom teacher for 49 years.  Currently, he is the Assistant Superintendent and the Transportation Coordinator for Hartselle City Schools.
