Mr. Pat Smith
Being in education is a very rewarding field that comes with a lot of emotions and pressure. I'm currently in my 24th year and I'm looking forward to several more. After completing my undergraduate degree at Auburn, I began teaching and coaching at Hartselle High School. After 4 years, I left to go to Danville High School where I spent 10 years as the co-op coordinator while continuing to coach football. I began my school principal career at Falkville Elementary where I spent 3 years learning a whole new world of elementary education. I loved this learning process while working with a group of teachers with a big passion for seeing students grow and develop. I went back to Danville High School for 1 year as principal before being offered and accepting my current position as assistant principal at Hartselle High School and athletic director at Hartselle City Schools. Hartselle is a great place to work and be a part of one of the top school systems in the State.
I'm married to Kimberly, and we have one daughter, Lillie. She is an HHS student, and it is great to be a part of her life at school. Kimberly and I have been married since December of 1997, and we have resided in Hartselle during the majority of that time. Kimberly is a retired elementary teacher from Crestline. I am a graduate of Auburn University and Kimberly from the University of Alabama. I'll let you imagine the fun we have with that ------ WAR EAGLE and GO TIGERS!
